I found your website when searching for homestays in Lovina. I am travelling there in July with my two sons. I have contacted Mr Gede and will be staying with him for 3 or 4 days. I am very much looking forward to it and also to seeing Lovina as I have not been to north Bali before.

Hi Ella,
We also have good memories. When i see the site, i want to go to bali again. We visited Gede in 2002 en 2005. And we think we will visit Gede Homestay again. But we are not planning a trip to asia at this moment. The business was just going up in september 2005, till... Mr Gede was also writing letters for some people in England, maybe that was you. After a night of fresh tuna and beer, we decided to make this website. It is nice to read if people enjoy their stay and dreaming of going there yourself.
Kuta, Ubud, Tulamben diving, Sanur, Lombok, Gili Trawangan, mmm.

Thankyou very much for your comments with regard to my stay with Mr Gede.
I am so pleased to see that people are staying with Mr Gede and long may this continue. Mr Gede's homestay is something that me and my father often talk about. My father stayed with him many years ago when he was still a fisherman, but be assured that "FRESH TUNA AND MARLIN" were still on the menu. And when i visited the food was just as tasty!
If anyone goes to stay with Gede, PLEASE could you say that Ella and Andy say hello and tell him that my father Neil, often talks about him too.
I stayed with Mr gede and spend my Millenium new years eve on the beach and I still hold such treasured memories. There aren't that many people that you meet in your life that really make an impact on you but Mr Gede certainly did.
Please spread the word !!!

Nous sommes juste rentrés de Bali. Nous sommes allés chez Gede comme chaque année depuis 7 ans et c'est toujours avec le même plaisir que nous y passons quelques jours. Si vous aimez la simplicité et l'authenticité, et si vous vous intéréssez à la culture et à la vie des balinais, cet endroit est fait pour vous !!!
Si vous préferez les Bars avec la musique trop forte et le shopping de copies de grandes marques, restez plutôt à Kuta ...

keramahan dari Pak Géde dan cerita cerita yang menarik dari dia. Tentu saja dengan kelezatan masakannya anda semakin ingin kembali berkunjung ke Bali terutama ke Gede's homestay.

Hello Mr Gede and coconut head, Ketuk's son!!!,
My father Neil, stayed at Mr Gede's 13 yrs ago and when I decided to travel about 6 yrs ago, my father said to me " Ella, you must go and stay with Mr Gede he is such a wonderful man and tells the most interesting stories"..... So off I travelled for a year, armed with a photograph of Mr Gede. Sure enough, I found Mr Gede and his fantastic homestay.
I have stayed there twice since and have the fondest memories ever. Mr Gede and his wonderful family, Ketuk and his wife are such warm and special people. I cannot reccommend you all to stay here but be assured that if you do, you will be touched by the place and the atmosphere. Oh how i long to be at Mr Gede's drinking a cold beer and listening to Hindu stories.
