Niets was hun teveel.

Mister Gede and family thanks for all you did for us and .....maybe next year ???!!!

Hello

I think Lovia is about 4 hours riding from Kuta bij car. That's cause there is a monkey forrest, a waterfall and other sightseeings on the way. We liked the route Kuta > Lovina > Ubud > Gili islands (lombok) > Sanur > Kuta. Then you have it all! Relaxing, bars, scuba diving etcetra.

If you rent a taxi with driver, it would cost about 25 dollar from Kuta to Lovina. You can rent a car for about 10 dollar. And i think a motor will cost about 5 dollar per day.

There are a lot of hills, so you better rent a good motorcycle with enough power.

Can you send greetings to Gede from Holland

Heya!

I'm planning to go to bali the 7th of june and after reading all these reactions, I think I know where i'm going to stay I've been doing my internship in Jakarta for the past 4 months, so it's nice to get away from all the chaos and pollution and relax at such a nice place.

I have some questions for the people who have stayed in Lovina:

1) how far is it from kuta?
2) is it possible to rent a motorbike and how much would that be?

so if anyone could answer my questions i would greatly appreciate it!

Maybe see u guys someday in bali

Great school project in Amed! I know there is a dutch woman in Lovina also
working for/with kids. Amed is also beautifull to stay for a few days and
scuba dive by the Tulamben Shipwreck.

Thanks all for sharing your experiences! I wonder when Mr Gede will read
all this

Yes we went to Gede's homestay!
We had a great time there (there were 7 of us, so mr. Gede was very pleased
), and Mr, Gede and his family were very kind people. Next year I
will come back for sure.

Hallo Gede and everybody out there,
This is Neil here, Ella's Dad. I visited the homestay a couple of times in 1994, I think, and will always remember the wonderful time I had there. This was due not only to the beautiful scenery, food and music but especially to Gede and his family who were so welcoming and interesting to talk to.

Gede has a wealth of stories to tell about Bali and the Hindu Gods but also about some of his relatives too. Uncle Purna, unfortunately now passed away, seemed to be an especially important member of the extended family and was known, not only for his musicianship but also for his 'processing' of which he was very fond (ask Gede!).
Anyway I would thoroughly recommend this homestay to travellers to this part of the world and would love to go there again myself some time.
