Helo Margy,
It looks like a nice trip, around surabaya and then Bali. We visited Padang Bai when we took the ferry to Gili Trawanang, but didn't stay there. We got to Ubud first, before we went to Padang Bai and Gili Island.
I just found a website from people who visited Mr Gede recently and took pictures. I have put th url in thi message (look at the photo album). I dont understand their language :) I also made a link to Goole Maps, under the button Location.

Hi everybody,
the first week from february we will stay in Surabaja by family, but the second week we will go to Gede homestay for the first time.
I just read al the guestbook and all the reactions of the people gave me a good feeling. Mr. Gede, we will do what you have wrote us and phone when we are in Surabaya.
Bjorn, wat een prachtige site. En dan al die tips. Ik weet niet hoe lang we blijven want we gaan ook naar familie in padangbai.

Hi Jeremy and all visitors,
A happy new year! I think that everyone celebrates that on the same time (except the Chinese). I hope you have a good time in Lovina. Surfing is not possible in Lovina, but you sure will enjoy it. We hope to visit Singapore next year. What we read about it, it has to be a great country.

Hi Bjorn, firstly i wanna wish you and all the chritians a Joyous And Prosperous Merry Christmas. It's a a christmas day today, being a muslim i don't celebrate this special day thus spent my quiet evening surfing the net about Bali where i stumbled upon your interesting site.
I was in Bali in 2003 and is planning to go there again in Mar/Apr 2007. This time i'm planning for a homestay. I was captivated by your site and all the comments posted in here and decided to try Gede's Homestay. I'll confirm with Gede on Jan and will keep you all interesting people inform about my trip. It is quiet know on Bali, with a little rain. But people already has made some bookings for the next season!

I see there are already reactions in the guestbook about the adwords It is not going fast with the extra income. I have a website witch only has links and makes 2 euro a day. But these only 1 euro in 6 days. Just enough for 1 Bintang. But the site will grow and it isn't high season. I have some domains like sanur.eu singaraja.eu (somebody took lovina.eu just before i did) and when i have time i will activate these.
Great to hear the updates and that Ketut and Nilah had a healthy baby boy. The third generation to run the homestay in the future :0
Some Dutch people go on newyear and christmas to Bali, but most tourist will go in may - june. Before the next season i will make the website in Dutch also.
You haven't seen Bali if you did't went to Lovina we think. We were glad we arrived there after we stayed 1 day in Kuta. Lovina is great, walking along the beach to the center, or the other way past the small fisherman village. The second time we were in Lovina a get my advanced Padi by Spice Dive in Lovina. I made some nice dives by the shipwreck Tulumben in Amed.

We agree with Ella excellent idea Bjorn. We have just had an email from Ketut and he said it is very quiet at the Homestay just now, probably not as busy due to it being the wet season.
Ketut and Niluh had a baby boy in November and Gede, Mama and everyone at the Homestay are well. Gee just talking about the Homestay what wouldn't we give to be sitting in the restaurant overlooking the beach eating Pepes Ikan. Keep up the good work Bjorn.

Hello Ella and visitors of Gede-Homestay.com.
The website of Mr Gede gets more and more visitors. It is nice to get some pictures for the website. It looks like i have to made another page with photo’s, else the pages with photo’s become slow.
Today I put some adwords on the site to test if this will generate some extra income. As you know it is very cheap to stay at Gede Homestay. Just a little income from Google can be a lot of money for Mr Gede. I can see how much profit Mr Gede makes with the Google adwords. If it is interesting and not annoying, we can keep the ads on the website and give the income from the adwords to mr. Gede
